Hopscotch House is the Kentucky Foundation for Women's residency program, located on a 30-acre wooded property outside Louisville. Founded in 1985 by activist and writer Sallie Bingham as part of the foundation's mission to support feminist art and social change, Hopscotch House hosts women, transgender, and non-binary artists, writers, and activists for one- to two-week residencies. Cohorts share a renovated farmhouse with private bedrooms; common areas are designed for collaboration and conversation. Free for KFW grantees; modest fee for others.
