I look forward to returning to a Byrdcliffe communal residency in 2025. It will be my 3rd year. If Im lucky, Ill stay longer in one of the apts/cabins. Great place, was very sad to leave as were many of the other AiRs. — Anonymous, 2024. Imported from the original ratemyartistresidency.com archive.
Everyone said Byrdcliffe was rustic, but that was part of its charm. My cabin, nestled among the trees, was kinda funky. But I liked that - so many places have been remodeled into the ordinary. Being a few minutes by car away from Woodstock provided ample - perhaps too many - opportunities to explore. Overall, my time there felt restorative, and I greatly enjoyed getting to know the other artists. — Anonymous, 2024. Imported from the original ratemyartistresidency.com archive.
Beyond dysfunctional and underfunded and poorly ran at this point — Anonymous, 2024. Imported from the original ratemyartistresidency.com archive.
