Kuona Trust

Kuona Trust is East Africa's most established contemporary art center, operating a studio complex in Nairobi's Kilimani neighborhood since 1995. The international residency hosts visiting artists alongside 20+ Kenyan studio holders for 1–3 month stays. Residents receive studio space, accommodation support, and deep integration into Nairobi's thriving art scene — one of the most dynamic in Africa, anchored by galleries, the Nairobi National Museum, and a growing commercial market for contemporary African art.
