Darat al Funun

Darat al Funun (The Khalid Shoman Foundation) is one of the Arab world's most important independent art spaces, set in a complex of restored 1920s houses on a hillside overlooking downtown Amman. The residency hosts 4–6 international artists for 2–3 month stays, providing a private studio, accommodation in the historic complex, and connections to the Jordanian and broader Arab contemporary art scene. The foundation's permanent collection and library of Arab art are exceptional resources.
