Nida Art Colony (NAC) is a contemporary art center on the Curonian Spit — a UNESCO-listed sand dune peninsula on the Baltic coast shared by Lithuania and Russia. Operated by Vilnius Academy of Arts, NAC hosts international artists for 1–3 month residencies in a striking modernist building overlooking the Curonian Lagoon. The extreme landscape — massive shifting dunes, pine forests, wide Baltic skies — and the colony's emphasis on ecological art and interdisciplinary research make it unlike any other European residency.
