Capacete is a nomadic art program and residency based in Rio de Janeiro that has been a key node in the Latin American contemporary art network since 1998. The program hosts 8–10 international artists per year for 3-month residencies, providing accommodation, a monthly stipend, and intensive curatorial programming. Capacete's emphasis on discussion, theory, and collaborative practice — rather than studio production — makes it especially suited for conceptual, social practice, and research-based artists.
