Raw Material Company

Raw Material Company is an independent center for art, knowledge, and society in Dakar, founded by curator Koyo Kouoh. The residency program brings international artists and thinkers to one of West Africa's most culturally significant cities — home to the Dak'Art Biennale, Africa's oldest and most prestigious contemporary art biennial. Residencies of 1–3 months include studio space, accommodation, and integration into Dakar's vibrant creative community. The program emphasizes critical thinking and knowledge production alongside art-making.
