FIAR is the first dedicated residency for LGBTQ+ artists in the United States, located in the historic Cherry Grove community on Fire Island. Five artists per session receive free housing, studio space, a $500 stipend, and access to the area's rich queer cultural history. The residency includes open studio events and culminates in a public exhibition.
